UFile Rolls Out Variety of New Features for Tax Year 2010

UFile 2010 Offers Canadians a Simple, More Accessible Option for Filing Taxes.
February 15, 2010 - Montreal, QC – Dr Tax Software, the makers of UFile ONLINE and UFile for Windows, launched its product suite for the 2010 tax season today featuring enhancements aimed at providing greater ease of use for Canadians during tax season. An updated UFile website will include new key features, offering a simple, more accessible outlet for Canadians filing their taxes. The new UFile Tax Rate Pro iPhone app will make it possible to calculate user’s marginal tax rate and compare all provincial tax rates for 2010 (including Quebec).

UFile products designed to make it easy for users to file taxes online, whether they are filing on their own, with a spouse or even filing tax returns for others.”
Only UFile uses the same tax engine as a tax software used by tax professionals. This ensures tax calculations can be done for even the most complex returns and that UFile will provide the best possible tax refund regardless of the situation, including the best pension split.
Newly designed Web site
The enhanced UFile Web site, www.ufile.ca, highlights the features common to all UFile products. It’s user-friendly interface provides branding for all three UFile offerings plus additional RRSP and provincial tax calculators.
UFile Tax Rate Pro iPhone app
UFile Tax Rate Pro is an easy-to-use iPhone app that will calculate and compare provincial tax rates for 2010 on any amount entered. The app provides tax rate insight for users moving to a new province or a starting a new job. The app is also a helpful tool for new immigrants who are unfamiliar with the Canadian tax system. UFile Tax Rate Pro will be available in both English and French, and is the only iPhone app which can offer a comparison of tax information between provinces.
Strategic Canadian Partnerships
In addition to new features for 2011, UFile will continue to support various Canadian organizations with tax software. UFile will again be the official provider of tax software for the Canadian Revenue Agency’s (CRA) Community Volunteer Tax Program (CVITP), providing tax software to its 16,000 volunteers who assist more than 500,000 Canadians filing their tax returns.
UFile has also teamed with the Canadian Forces Personnel Support Agency (CFPSA) to supply tax software products at a reduced cost to all military personnel and members of the RCMP under the Canadian Defence Community Banking Program offered by the Bank of Montreal.

Pricing and Availability
UFile ONLINE, Dr Tax’s online solution, provides users the ability to try UFile for free and pay only when they are fully satisfied and ready to file. Individual users of UFile ONLINE will continue to pay $15.95 and may file taxes of a spouse for an additional $9.00. UFile ONLINE also continues to be one price – unlike some online competitors, UFile does not increase its price for more complex returns. UFile ONLINE is free for dependants, post-secondary students (regardless of income) and families or individuals with income under $20,000. UFile ONLINE is available at www.ufile.ca.
UFile ONLINE provides users the ability to prepare tax returns from 1999 to 2010.
UFile for Windows, Dr Tax’s desktop product, is valued at $29.99. Users may file up to eight returns per box and the software can prepare all types of tax returns, no matter how complex. UFile for Windows is available at Future Shop and Best Buy for only $19.99 for 8 returns or $29.99 for 16 returns. UFile for Windows is also available online for $29.99 at www.ufile.ca.
Prior tax years of UFile for Windows are available back to 2003 at the UFile site.
UFile PRO, designed for low volume tax preparers -- those who prepare over 20 tax returns but few than 100 returns, starts at only $99.99 and includes the ability to EFILE tax returns for others. EFILE service providers status is required to use UFile PRO for electronic filing.
Additional returns may be purchased for all UFile software products.
