MONTREAL, January 13, 2004 / CNW Dr Tax Software Inc. of Montreal is pleased to announce that its new retail income tax product for Canadian consumers, UFile for Windows, will be available for sale exclusively at Future Shop and Best Buy stores across Canada as well as at www.futureshop.ca in 2004.

Dr Tax delivered its first consumer tax program, UFile.ca, to the Web in 2000. The program was developed in response to Canadians' enthusiastic acceptance of Internet technology and of NetFile, the CRA's new electronic tax filing service. UFile's popularity has grown rapidly to the point where last tax season, 45% of all Canadians who used an online tax program to prepare their return chose UFile.ca.

UFile for Windows offers the same user-friendly interface and sophisticated tax calculations as UFile.ca, the online version. Both UFile products rely on the same calculation engine as the professional suite of tax programs developed by Dr Tax Software Inc. Canadian accountants and tax preparers have used the Dr Tax line of professional products for over 15 years.

UFile and its French equivalent ImpôtExpert allow the user to prepare up to 10 tax returns, plus an unlimited number of returns for anyone with annual income of $25,000 or less. UFile and ImpôtExpert are operational in English or French, in any province or territory. Even Canadians with complex tax situations will find that they can prepare their returns with ease using UFile.
