I have a client who disposed of a class 10 motor vehicle used for employment purposes and the program does not
prorate the recapture on line 107 of the TP-1 return, why is that?
In the situation where the taxpayer is a salaried employee claiming employment expenses with a recapture on the
disposal of a class 10 motor vehicle, the recapture reported on line 104 of the T1 return is properly prorated based on the
percentage of business use, but the amount reported on line 107 of the TP-1 is not.
As a workaround, use the Override keyword, option Quebec line 107 and enter the correct amount.
